1. Acceptance of Terms

By using iLoveAVIF ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

iLoveAVIF provides browser-based image conversion tools, available as a website at iloveavif.com and as a Chrome browser extension. Free-tier image processing occurs locally on your device. Pro-tier processing may use our server-side API. The Service includes free and paid (Pro) tiers.

3. Free and Pro Plans

• Free — Up to 5 conversions per day, files up to 10MB, all tools included.
• Pro ($4.99/month) — Unlimited conversions, files up to 50MB, priority support. Billed monthly through Polar.sh.

4. User Accounts

You may create an account using your email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide a valid email address for authentication.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
• Automate access to the Service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to images you process through the Service. We claim no ownership over your content. The iLoveAVIF brand, code, and design are our intellectual property.

7. Subscriptions and Refunds

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly and can be canceled at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

8. Chrome Extension

The iLoveAVIF Chrome extension is an additional distribution of the Service. By installing and using the extension, you agree to these same Terms. The extension is subject to the following additional terms:

• The extension is provided via the Chrome Web Store and is also subject to Google's Terms of Service.
• Free-tier conversions in the extension are limited to 5 per day, independent of website usage.
• Pro features in the extension require a valid API key from an active Pro subscription.
• The extension fetches images from third-party websites only when you explicitly request a conversion via the right-click context menu. We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that conversions will be error-free or that the Service will be available at all times.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, iLoveAVIF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
